Can't believe you had to go through this for all these years... But happy to hear that you're now on the right track, and hope to see you in New York soon! (LL and I are moving to Boston in August!)

I felt my stomach churn and tears come to my eyes reading this Al. Not enough to put me on my hands and knees but enough to know that I don't feel like standing up for a while. Mirror neurons, holons, love, call it what you will, those notes definitely bridged the gulf. We feel, therefore we are... Thank you for sharing about your experience and acknowledging it with all that vulnerability and your graceful creative brilliance. I look forward to hearing how it all unfolds!

Powerful and raw. Great writing. So very sorry you've been going through all that. I could have crossed IBS off the list for you early on. Keep in touch Bro.

Your article has been seen and acknowledged too. I'm so sorry you had to endure that agony for so long, those symptoms sound absolutely terrifying. The best thing to hope for is that you never have the pain again, yet remain wiser and more empathetic from the experience. I wish you all the best with your plan to get better and study in September! Love from Harry

O no, Alistair, I’m so sorry to hear you have been in so much pain. That you were able to be functional and pleasant during daylight hours while suffering so much at night is astounding. I’m very glad going home helped and hope you are soon able to sleep soundly in New York. Best wishes!
